David Sweeney, President and Chief Executive Officer

David has 15 years of experience in public sector leadership and management, having previously worked as the Chief of Staff to the Mayor and the Chief of Administration for the City of Boston, the CFO of the Massachusetts State Lottery Commission, and the Budget Director for the Massachusetts House of Representatives’ Committee on Ways and Means. He is responsible for the overall management and strategy of Longwood Collective. David is a graduate of Providence College.

 

Holli Roth, Vice President of Finance and Administration and Chief Financial Officer

Holli has over 25 years of experience in financial leadership and non-profit management. She is responsible for Finance, Human Resources and IT at Longwood Collective, serves as the Treasurer of MASCO Services, Inc. and the Longwood Medical Area Child Care Center, and oversees several shared contracts that provide services to Longwood Collective members. Holli holds a BA from Middlebury College and an MBA from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.

 

Norva Kennard, General Counsel

Prior to joining Longwood Collective, Norva was the Assistant General Counsel for Co-Op City in New York. She also worked as corporate counsel for Merrill Lynch Realty Corporation in New York and served on the staff of the United States Senate Judiciary Committee in Washington. She holds a BA from Westmont College (CA), and a JD from the National Law Center of The George Washington University (DC).

 

P.J. Cappadona, Vice President of Operations

P.J. oversees the daily operations involving transportation and parking for over 12,000 people per day, facilities and security at 375 Longwood Avenue, and emergency preparedness for the LMA. Prior to joining Longwood Collective, P.J. managed transportation and parking at Boston College. He holds a BA in English from Seton Hall University, an MA in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from Fairfield University, and an MBA from Boston College.

 

Tom Yardley, Vice President of Area Planning and Development

Tom has over 20 years of experience in planning, with broad expertise in both urban and transportation planning. As Vice President of Area Planning and Development at Longwood Collective, Tom is responsible for conducting long-range planning and development studies and managing project implementation in building development, transportation, energy and infrastructure, housing, workforce development, open space, and transportation demand management (TDM). Formerly a Principal at Nelson\Nygaard and Stantec, he is nationally recognized for his work including parking and transportation master plans for higher education, health care, and corporate clients. Tom holds a BA from the London School of Economics and a Master of Urban Planning from Harvard University.

 

Samantha Ormsby, Vice President of Communications and Public Affairs

Samantha has over 10 years of experience in public sector communications at the state and municipal levels, having previously served as the Communications Director for the Commonwealth's Office of the State Auditor and Deputy Chief Communications Officer and Press Secretary for the City of Boston under former mayor Martin J. Walsh. Samantha is a graduate of Northeastern University.

 

James Sutherland, Chief of Staff and Director of Strategic Initiatives 

Prior to joining Longwood Collective, James was the Associate Vice President of Public Policy & Advocacy at the New England Aquarium. He has previous experience in the non-profit, higher education, and public sectors, including the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce, Northeastern University, and the Office of (then) City Councilor At-Large Ayanna Pressley. James holds a PhD and master’s degree in political science from Northeastern University and a BA from Emmanuel College.

 

Wayne Li, Controller

Wayne was the assistant controller at 3Step Sports before joining Longwood Collective. He has previously worked in accounting management roles at Liberty Mutual and Boston Medical Center. Wayne is CPA licensed in Massachusetts, and he holds a BBA in Accounting from Southern Methodist University and a MSA from Boston College.

 

Chuck Badeau, Information Technology Director

Chuck joined Longwood Collective in 2007 with more than 20 years of experience managing IT environments for large and small companies, including Alcatel-Lucent and Astral Point Communications. He holds a degree in civil engineering from the University of New Hampshire.

 

Nikki Reilly, Director of Human Resources

Nikki has a diverse background in brand marketing and human resources with extensive experience spanning from startups, non-profits to large corporations. She was most recently at Magna International and prior to that was at Pilot House Associates, LLC and the Barr Foundation. Nikki graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a BS in Business Administration and International Affairs.
