Are you currently driving solo to work and thinking about taking transit or walk/biking, but not ready to make that commitment? Register in the CommuteSwap program and Longwood Collective will pay you, (up to three months!), to leave your car at home by subsidizing your alternative commute. Simply put your parking space on hold and we'll manage the rest!
Try out the MBTA or Commuter Rail and receive
- $90 per month for the purchase of your MBTA pass or up to $130 for the purchase of a Commuter Rail pass
- Use of CommuteWorks’ Emergency Ride Home Program
- 2 free offsite parking vouchers per month for the Kenmore parking lot
Try out walking or biking and receive
- Transit reimbursements up to $45 per month for bad weather days
- Enrollment in CommuteFit; log your miles and be entered into a monthly raffle
- Use of Longwood TMA’s Emergency Ride Home Program
- 2 free offsite parking vouchers per month for the Kenmore parking lot
The fine print:
- Program is limited to drive alone commuters, participation is one time only and issued in a block of 3 months.
- Participation is evaluated month-to-month; withdraw at any time if this switch doesn't fit your schedule.
- Transit reimbursements for bad weather days require submitting time stamped receipts.
Daniel from Boston Children's Hospital says, “The CommuteSwap program allowed me to explore different commuting options. I decided after trying the T to switch to biking and I couldn’t be happier. If you normally drive to work, definitely consider trying CommuteSwap!”
