Countway Courtyard Highlights Week of August 12th

See below for some exciting programming this week OUTSIDE!

On Tuesday, August 13th, Bands on Blackfan has unfortunately been cancelled due to storms in the forecast.

Also on Tuesday, Storyteller Andrea Kamens appears OUTSIDE. Andrea is a teacher, writer, and community volunteer who specializes in multi-generational and inclusive groups, telling traditional, original, Jewish, and first-person stories that tremble with truth. With skillful structuring and improvisational verve, she opens worlds between her listeners and the story. Kamens is on the board of The Story Space, New England’s longest running weekly storytelling venue and is currently the storytelling artist at the Religious School for Congregation Dorshei Tzedek in Newton. Countway Courtyard, 12-2pm.

OUTSIDE Thursday, Brigham and Women’s Dr. Mark Haipeng Zhang discusses digital health and it is used to improve both patient and staff experiences. Throughout his career, Mark has held an interest in leveraging technology to improve clinical medicine.  He is the founder and co-creator of Palliative Care Fast Facts for iOS and Android mobile applications, one of the most widely used clinical reference applications in palliative care in the world.  Mark is the Medical Director of the Digital Innovation Hub at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Associate Program Director of the Clinical Informatics and Innovation Fellowship at Partners Healthcare and a Palliative Care consultant at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.  Countway Courtyard, 12:30-1pm.
