MASCO Welcomes New Vice President of Communications and Public Affairs
Laura Oggeri will be joining MASCO as its first Vice President of Communications and Public Affairs.
Laura has served as the Chief Communications Officer to Boston Mayor Martin J. Walsh since 2015. Prior to joining the City of Boston, she worked for the President of the Massachusetts Senate as Director of Communications and Senior Policy Advisor. Laura also previously worked in the private sector, having started her career as a member of the corporate and public affairs teams for a global public relations firm in Boston, specializing in crisis communications and strategic planning for clients in the health care and higher education industries.
“Laura has been a key player in advancing some of the biggest initiatives in the City and the Commonwealth over the last decade,” said MASCO President and CEO David Sweeney. “She brings a wealth of experience in developing and executing critical strategies for complex organizations, and I am thrilled to have her coming onboard to help drive the success of the Longwood Academic and Medical Area on behalf of MASCO’s world-class member institutions.”
A Connecticut native, Laura lives in Dorchester with her husband and two children, and will be formally joining the MASCO team in September.
