Who Are We?
The LMA Shuttles are a shuttle service serving institutions in the Longwood Medical and Academic Area of Boston, Massachusetts. The LMA Shuttles are run by Longwood Collective, a non-profit organization serving 22 members and associate member institutions.
Who Can Ride?
Any employee or student of a Longwood Collective member institution can ride the shuttles with a valid ID from their institution.
However, the M2 requires additional credentials (see below):
- The M2 Cambridge-HMS shuttles require a valid Harvard ID to ride. A person with a non-Harvard ID may purchase a single-ride ticket purchased in advance.
Accessibility
- All LMA shuttles are accessible to people with disabilities
- LMA shuttles have onboard ramps or lifts and designated areas on board where wheeled mobility devices can be secured.
How To Ride?
If you are part of a Longwood Collective member institution, simply show your ID from that institution to gain entry onto our shuttles. (Please note the exceptions bulleted above.)
All people riding the Longwood Collective shuttles have the right to expect safe and reliable services. Longwood Collective strives to make sure high-quality transportation is consistently provided.
Transloc
The Longwood Collective has a real time shuttle tracker that allows you to see where shuttles and when they are expected to arrive at your next stop. View the tracker here.
To access this information on the go we encourage everyone to download the Transloc App.
In addition to real time tracking and next stop predictions you can also see service alerts that are posted in real time to advise you about things like detours and delays.
M2 Late night stops
After 6:00PM the M2 will stop at any MBTA stop in Cambridge upon request.
- Saturday service does not operate over the summer.
- Weekday service ends at 10:30 PM over the summer
