After more than a decade of advocacy by MASCO on behalf of its members, the new commuter rail platform at Ruggles Station opened on April 5th, significantly increasing train capacity at Ruggles and improving access to the Longwood Medical and Academic Area.

MASCO is proud to have played a key role in coordinating and securing funding for the new platform and other station improvements, working in partnership with the state and neighboring stakeholders to pursue a $20 million federal TIGER grant that was awarded in 2014.

Healthcare organizations and businesses across Massachusetts have stepped up to help administer COVID-19 vaccines to residents, including institutions right here in Longwood. MASCO is proud to assist Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center with their appointment-only vaccine distribution clinic for eligible patients, hosted at Temple Israel of Boston, by providing dedicated parking at 375 Longwood Avenue for people traveling by car to their vaccination appointment.

There will be no service on Friday, December 25th and Friday, January 1st in observance of the holidays.

On all other days, service will remain normal on the current schedule throughout the holiday season. There will be no change in service for the M2 route due to the holiday break this year.

Beginning Thursday, November 26th, MASCO's shuttles will not be running in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. On Friday, November 27th, the M2, the Landmark Shuttle, and the Chestnut Hill Shuttle will have no service, but all other routes will return to normal service. All routes will resume normal operation on Monday, November 30th.
